If you consider yourself a dog lover, and you want to experience one of the most exciting events in the entire city in the month of February, then the Westminster Dog Show is the perfect event for you. All of the fun takes place February 11-12. The daytime sessions, 8 AM until 4:30 PM, take place at Piers 92/94 which is only about 15 minutes from the Broadway Plaza Hotel. The evening sessions, 6 PM-11:30 PM, take place at historic Madison Square Garden which is less than 10 minutes away. The Westminster Dog Show is the most famous of its kind in the entire world. A variety of breeds, some you probably have never even heard of before, compete in events like long-running, agility, and the coveted Best in Breed. You can watch as the trainers and dogs compete, and you can even interact with some of the breeds throughout the competition.
